queenstown - christchurch with olivier

at the moment i'm back to christchurch for a few days... but now about the last week... snowboarding in coronet peak was not bad, the weather wasnt really good but it was ok and snowboarding is always good :). this was my last day in queenstown and the next day i went to wanaka by bus, while olivier got our car in te anau and then also drove to wanaka... we just stayed for one night in wanaka, because it was so full, everybody goes skiing at the moment there! we had to stay in two different backpackers, because there was no place, however it was all right. then we continued to haast where we stayed one night and went to jackson bay, its a nice place! haast it self is really small :)! after we visited fox glacier and franz josef and drove along the west coast to greymouth. westcoast is really nice, i've already seen it, nut its not the same if u travel by car or by bus... on our last day together we went back to hokitika and visited a jade fabric, which was interessting and i bought a piece of jade. then we drove from greymouth to christchurch over the arthur's pass. thats very beautiful! it's kind of similar to switzerland with all the mountain... really nice :)! well now i'm back in chch and was really surprised that some people i met here are still in the same backpacker :)... well so see u soon

so i ha mini reis iz beendet, auso ni wuerkli, aber bi wieder do woni agfange ha :). jo aebe i bi e tag gsi go boarde in coronet peak, isch ganz guet gsi, ni gad super waetter, aber suesch ni schlecht. dasch o mi letscht tag in queenstown gsi u de bini am noechste nami nach wanaka u dr olivier isch ds outo go hole in te anau. jo wanaka isch zimli vou gsi, da au dert goe go skifahre, drum simer de o nume ei nacht blibe u hei no i verschidene backpacker muesse schlafe, da aus isch usbuechet gsi :). de simer witer nach haast, dasch sones chlises doerfli, eigentli ni wuerkli, het oepe 20 hueser... vo dert us simer zum jackson bay u de red rocks, hei de dert uebernachetet u si am noechste morge zu de gletschter. fox u franz josef, der eint hani jo scho gseh gha, aber dr anger noni :). witer nach greymouth womer sit langem widermau si go pasta aesse zum italiener, da das uesi letschti nacht isch gsi womer zaeme greist si u so nach drei wuche ferti menu isch das ganz guet gsi :). de simer am samschti zrug nach hokitika no go e jade fabrik aluege u i ha es stueck jade kouft u naer wider nach greymouth u vo dert us uebere arthur's pass nach chch. dr waeg nach chch isch super, vou duert baerge, richtig wie ir schwiz u dasch ke witz, gseht vou aehnlich us. do chunnt me sech scho fasch wie dehei vor :). jo aebe iz bini wider allei, woeu dr olivier fluegt gli mau hei u isch iz no bi kollege u i bi no paar tag in chch u ga de naer nach wellington u zrug. jo ha aber es paar luet troffe wo no ging im gliche backpacker si wie woni gange bi vor drei wuche, dasch no cool :). de wuenschi euch e schoene summer :)! ha huet fasch e neue pulli kouft, aber zum glueck nume fasch... ha ueberhoupt ke platz meh i mim gepaeck :)

doubtful sound

at the moment i'm travelling with olivier, a swiss guy, normally with his car, but unfortunately he has to fix someting, so we stay at queenstown for a few days. thats not to bad... well before we visited doubtful sound. its beautiful... we made a cruise by boat of course and by bus... it was really nice! we stayed one day in manapoui and then we had to come back to queenstown, because of the car. now we're going to go snowboarding tomorrow in cornet peak ad hopefully after the car is ready, so we can continue our travel to wanaka and fox glacier... however, to be back in queenstown is quite nice


ja im momaent bini gad mitem outo ungerwaegs, aemu wes ni gad ir reperatur isch :). bi gester bim doubtful sound gsi u dasch wunderschoen dert, chli chaut, aber suesch wuerkli guet. hei so e tour gmacht mit boot u bus u wider boot, bis zum meer fuere, hei delfine gseh u seehuend. wuerkli cool u de simer no gones wasserchraftwaerch aluege, dasch o ganz interessant gsi. aebe reise dueni gad mitem olivier, jo u iz sitze mer aebe fuer zwe tag do in queenstown fest bis de ds outo wider louft. aber queenstown isch jo guet u mir goe morn go boarde in cornet peak, hie wirds eim scho ni laengwilig... meh gits gad ni zverzeue huet :)

bottom bus 11/7-14/7

the last four days i spent in the south of south island. first day we drove to dunedin, where we visited the steepest street of the world. there was a choccolat competition, which was really funny. well u have to see the pictures its a little bit strange so i cant explain it. they let choccolates balls down the street and the first one won a trip to australia. then we visited dunedin, which has a few nice buildings, but its really a city of students. later i was in the speights brewery, that was intressting and the free beer good ;).
the next day we drove to invercarcill, where we went to a sheep shaering museum and we could try it. its not as easy as it looks. we left invercargill and drove to curio bay, where we saw penguins and seals, or whatever they are called.
after the next morning we went to te anau, which is a small village, there arent many things to do, but we stayed for one night, because we wanted to go to milford sound at friday. however, it was closed, because of the weather and so we went back to queenstown. because i was so stupid to made a deal with an other girl, that if milford sound is closed we'll go bungy jumping, i had to do that. i was really scared, more than before the sky dive and i thought i would never jump, but well it was great!! 134m, its high, but really great! i really enjoyed it and i'm glad that if done it. well now i'm back for one day and tomorrow i'll just realaxe :)

jo aebe i ha die letschte vier tag im suede vor suedinsle verbrocht u bi am erste tag nach dunedin, wo gad sone schoggi carnival isch gsi u de hei si bir steilste strass schoggichugle abegla, isch no luschtig gsi zum luege u die ersti het e reis nach australie gwunne, auso ni schlecht. de bini chli go d'stadt aluege, het es paar schoeni gebaeude, aber isch suesch haut me e studente stadt. de bini no ga d'speights brauerei aluege, dasch no interessant gsi u hei no choenne bier teste, sogar schoggibier, dasch aber ni so mis ding :).
am noechste tag simer witer i suede nach invercargill, dert aber nur e stund blibe u ines schof schaere museum, dasch no interessant gsi. isch im fau e sport in NZ u reckord isch oepis ueber 1000 schof i 9h...u de heiemer o no saeuber choenne versueche, isch ni so eifach. mis schof isch chli stoerrisch gsi :). de simer richtig curio bay womer pinguine u seehuend hei gseh. haerzigi tierli :)

franz josef, wanaka, queenstown 3/7-11/7

i stayed for 2 days in franz josef, which is a little town, well not really a town... its wellknown for the glacier and for sky diving. therefore, the first thing i did in franz josef was sky diving. it was amazing! great view from the plane and during the sky dive. but i was never before so scared! but once in the plane you dont have time to be scared, so you can really enjoy it! thats something i would do again if it wasnt so expensive. so the next day i went on a glacier walk, which was also not bad. we walked for 4 hours on the glacier and its really nice!
in wanaka i was only for one day, but its nice, good for skiing. i didnt go, but the area looks quite nice. and of course the lake wanaka is beautiful.
queenstown.... its really a city for tourists, quite expensive, but a lot to do! i didnt try bungy jumping yet, i might do it if i'm back in a few days, but it looks quite scary! i was snowboarding for two days in cardrona. its bigger than in christchurch, but still small if you are from switzerland :). the first day i tried to teach snowboarding to two guys. well, it wasnt easy, but it was fun for me.one of them really liked it and learnt quite fast, but the other didnt like it :). the next day they complained that every part of their body hurts.... thats snowboarding :). so the second day i went again with one of them, but he took the skies, so it was better :). what else did i do in queenstown... of course watching soccer and supporting italy!! its also a good place for going out :). so queenstown is a good place to stay.

jo queenstwon, isch scho die typischi touriste stadt!! vieu goe dert go skifahre, so wie ig u es het o suesch mega viu sache zum mache. wie aebe bungy jumpe, wasi ni gmacht ha, aber vilich de no mache weni wider zrug bi. muess scho cool si! aber so 43m si haut scho hoech u dasch de dr chlinst, me cha auso o vo 134m gumpe, wasi ni gad bruche :). bi zwe tag gsi go boarde in cardrona, isch schoen dert u hei zum glueck o schoen waetter gha. ha aebe am erste tag versuecht zwene boarde bizbringe. isch no amuesant gsi u dr eint hets zimli schnaeu glehrt u gaern gha, hingaege dr italiener hets ghasst :). mit ihm bini aber de am nechste tag nomau gange, er het sis board nume gaege skis ituscht, isch de chli besser gange :). jo si hei emu beid klagt, dass ne aus weh tuet :). mir ni.... suesch hani ni viu gmacht in queenstown. no chli i usgang u das waers de o scho :)

hoffe dir heits genau so guet ir schwiz, sicher chli wermer aus hei, wobi geit no so :)

kaikoura, nelson, westport 1/7-3/7

well i started my trip in christchurch on the 1.july. my first stop was kaikoura, which is a nice little city i the nord of south island. there we were whale watching, it was amazing! we saw 3 whales and a lot of hector dolphins. if u have time u should do that :). accually there are a lot of things u we did and which u should do, but whale watching was one of the best thing i did so far. nelson... i cant remember what i did in nelson, probably nothnig... but there is the center of new zealand :). and a beautiful national park, right :). westport isnt really interessting, well its just another city, not really special. but there are a few nice places between nelson and westport at the west coast.

mi trip mit kiwiexerience isch bis iz ganz guet. ha viu neui luet kenneglehrt, die meiste si vo england u ireland wo mit daem bus greist si. de no e duetsche u e italiener... isch jedefaus bis iz ging guet gsi :). jo aebe in kaikoura hani mi erst stop gha u bi gsi go whale watchig, dasch super gsi! mir hei drei wale gseh u e hufe delfine, richtig cool! o suesch isch kaikoura es schoens stedtli. nelson isch de dr next stop gsi womer ni gad viu gmacht hei da uese bus e panne het gha u mer so erst spot si acho. aber e schoene sunneungergang hani gseh u im centrum vo neuseeland bini gsi. am noechste tag simer de witer nach westport, hei ungerwaegs paar stops gmacht ar westkueste, isch scho schoen dert. westport saeuber isch ni wuerkli speziell... jo das waers fuer huet, muess iz go choche :)

christchurch 26/6-1/7

hey everybody!

well, for those who want to travel to south island, christchurch is a must! i was there for 4 days and it was great. i really like the city. u should visit the cathedral, the botanic garden and if u have time to stay a little bit longer, go snowboarding or skiing on mt hutt. it's only little but nice! don't go if u have never boarded befor, its quite hard sometimes... but i was there for one day and i enjoyed it. well... after my legs and my back hurted for 3 days... but only because i tried to jump and thats something i really cant ;)... what else.... its not too bad for going out, there are a few pubs at the river and in the city center. well thats all about christchurch, i was also o a cruise, but its better to do this in kaikoura... so enjoy ur time ;) pictures follow later :)
